What you will do

• Design, install, and maintain data acquisition systems for flight test aircraft.
• Develop processes and documentation for flight test instrumentation installation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Flight Test Engineering and Certification Teams to plan and execute flight test activities.
• Establish comprehensive instrumentation plans for monitoring strain, temperature, vibration, and pressure.
• Design flight test hardware including instrumentation racks, air data booms, and telemetry systems.
• Perform post-flight data processing and ensure data quality.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience as an instrumentation engineer in experimental testing.
• Experience with data acquisition hardware and telemetry operations.
• Proficiency in instrumentation systems design and sensor maintenance.
• Must be based in the US; hirify.global is unable to provide work visa sponsorship.
• Ability to distinguish colors and lift 30 lbs unassisted.

Nice to have

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or VBA.
• Ability to work with Matlab and edit XML files.
• Experience training others on instrumentation basics and advanced topics.
