What you will do

• Perform specimen receipt, accessioning, and isolation procedures following standard operating protocols.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Clean labware, equipment, and benches to ensure a sterile environment.
• Document corrective actions and maintain accurate records for equipment and personnel.
• Participate in inspection preparation and process improvement projects.
• Train new accessioning personnel and provide mentorship in a positive team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biology or a related life sciences field.
• Must be able to work onsite in Menlo Park or Union City, CA.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical lab setting.

Nice to have

• Experience with molecular biology techniques such as DNA purification, PCR, or electrophoresis.
• At least 6 months of experience in a research or clinical laboratory.
• Previous clinical laboratory experience.
