What you will do

• Design and implement scalable services for pre-trade analytics, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
• Work across the full stack, from data ingestion pipelines to client-facing API layers.
• Leverage AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery and maintain high engineering standards.
• Collaborate on complex system design, trade-off analysis, and architectural paradigms.
• Mentor team members and promote a culture of engineering excellence and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java (Spring) or Python (FastAPI).
• Strong proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL and data processing libraries.
• Ability to take end-to-end ownership of complex, ambiguous requirements from design to production.
• Strong command of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Must be able to work in the New York office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with gRPC, Redis, Docker, Gradle, uv, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Domain knowledge in financial risk, swaps, custom baskets, or factor models.
