Salary: $160,000–$200,000

What you will do

• Own platform initiatives end-to-end from design to maintenance.
• Drive systems design for new integration infrastructure including services, queues, and data pipelines.
• Lead projects and mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design feedback.
• Identify and eliminate classes of recurring technical problems.
• Set technical direction in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Collaborate with integration and adjacent teams to meet consumer needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Must be able to work from the NYC office 3 days per week.
• Strong systems design skills with experience operating services at scale.
• Experience with backend infrastructure, async processing, and data pipelines.
• Demonstrated autonomous project leadership on multi-quarter projects.
• Willingness to drive AI-forward projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with third-party APIs, auth flows, and rate limits.
• Browser automation experience (Playwright, Selenium, CDP).
• Expertise in Python.
• Experience in fintech or regulated environments.
