What you will do

• Design and implement production-grade data pipelines, data lakes, lakehouses, and data mesh architectures within enterprise HCLS environments.
• Build data products supporting AI/ML model training and agentic AI systems, ensuring high data quality and reliability.
• Architect contextual knowledge layers, including ontologies and knowledge graphs using Amazon Bedrock and hirify.global Context.
• Navigate complex security and privacy requirements, specifically GxP compliance, HIPAA, and regulatory data governance.
• Collaborate across customer IT, business, and partner organizations to resolve data access and quality challenges.
• Apply AI-DLC methodologies to redesign data workflows to be AI-native for accelerated scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data platform development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in modern data platform design patterns (lake, lakehouse, mesh) using hirify.global services such as S3, Redshift, and SageMaker.
• Experience architecting and engineering ontologies and knowledge graphs in enterprise environments.
• Location: Must be based in Zurich or Geneva, Switzerland.

Nice to have

• hirify.global certifications in Data Analytics or Machine Learning Specialty.
• Experience in healthcare and life sciences (HCLS) with standards like OMOP, CDISC, or FHIR.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, or Kafka.
• Experience with data governance tools like hirify.global Glue Data Catalog, Collibra, or Alation.
• Proficiency in AI-accelerated development (AI-DLC) and prompt engineering.
