Sr Data Scientist - Member Growth & Prescreen Modeling (Fintech)

Location: Must be a resident of WA, CA, VA, NC, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. Hybrid for those within driving distance of Tukwila, WA (Tuesdays & Wednesdays in office); otherwise remote for approved residents.

Salary: $91,000 – $169,400 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain ML models for prescreen targeting, prospect prioritization, propensity modeling, and uplift modeling.
• Lead A/B testing and experimentation to evaluate campaign effectiveness and improve marketing ROI.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Technology teams to translate business needs into analytical strategies.
• Partner with Data Engineering to deploy scalable, production-ready machine learning models and data pipelines.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and strategic tradeoffs to executive audiences via data storytelling.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching to fellow data scientists and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing predictive analytics and machine learning solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or similar programming languages.
• Must be a resident of WA, CA, VA, NC, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC.
• Proven ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow).
• Experience with large-scale data platforms such as Snowflake, Spark, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Background in customer acquisition, CRM analytics, or customer lifetime value modeling.
