Observability Engineer (DevOps)

TL;DR

Observability Engineer (DevOps): Architecting and engineering a mission-critical observability platform for globally distributed environments with an accent on reliability and scalability. Focus on building automation tools, managing distributed systems like Kubernetes and Kafka, and improving system observability.

Location: Hybrid (Poland). Must work from the assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

What you will do

• Build software, frameworks, and tools required for reliable operations of services across multiple cloud environments.
• Manage the stability and operation of critical production applications through capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Develop automations and tooling to enhance platform reliability and availability.
• Work with distributed systems such as Kubernetes, Zookeeper, Istio, Kafka, and ElasticSearch.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to foster solid engineering principles and represent company engineering values.
• Participate in on-call rotations to investigate, triage, and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience using high-level languages such as Java or Go.
• Experience in configuration and maintenance of web servers, load balancers, databases, storage systems, and orchestration platforms.
• Experience supporting critical production services.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies like GCP, AWS, and/or Kubernetes.
• Must be based in Poland to fulfill hybrid office requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with service observability best practices and tools such as OTel or Prometheus.
• Working knowledge of Terraform, Terragrunt, or Calico for Kubernetes.
