TL;DR

Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS/Go): Designing and operating the AWS cloud foundation and networking fabric for a global financial services platform with an accent on scalable infrastructure, edge security, and high-availability connectivity. Focus on building production Go services, optimizing global bank connectivity via BGP/VPN, and implementing multi-account governance at scale.

Location: Hybrid (Krakow, Poland). In-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly.

Salary: zł 320,000 – zł 360,000 per annum

What you will do

• Lead architecture decisions on cloud topology, multi-account governance, and cross-region connectivity.
• Own and evolve edge infrastructure, including CloudFront, AWS Shield, WAF, and CDN failover strategies.
• Develop production Go services and CLI tooling to automate and extend the cloud platform.
• Design and operate global partner and bank connectivity networks using VPNs, Direct Connect, and BGP routing.
• Collaborate with SRE and Security teams to integrate observability and compliance into cloud pathways.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across distributed environments using deep TCP/IP protocol knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure with significant AWS depth.
• Strong proficiency in a backend language; Go experience is strongly preferred.
• Deep expertise in cloud networking: VPC design, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and load balancing.
• Hands-on experience with edge infrastructure management (CloudFront, AWS Shield, WAF).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, specifically with Terraform.
• Must be based in Krakow, Poland to meet the hybrid office requirements.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and EKS.
