What you will do

• Design, implement and maintain Golang infrastructure services, typically as Kubernetes operators.
• Build and optimize the Confluent Cloud PaaS product alongside a global engineering organization.
• Manage availability, performance, monitoring, and capacity planning for the cloud infrastructure.
• Optimize big data systems covering tens of thousands of instances for maximum security and smoothness.
• Contribute to the architectural and operational design points of the Confluent cloud product.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, or other statically typed languages.
• Relevant cloud infrastructure and cloud networking experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems.
• Knowledge of public clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Nice to have

• Specific experience with Golang.
• Experience using Apache Kafka.
