What you will do

  • Conduct daily trade surveillance reviews for active trader clients using Nasdaq Trade Surveillance (NTS).
  • Analyze order lifecycle data to identify abusive practices like spoofing, layering, and wash trading.
  • Perform cross-product surveillance across equities and listed options.
  • Document findings in case management systems and escalate potential issues to senior personnel.
  • Prepare case summaries for the Trade Surveillance Committee and provide feedback on alert performance.
  • Identify surveillance gaps and emerging risks related to new products or trading behaviors.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience using NTS in a broker-dealer or exchange environment.
  • Proven track record of investigating market manipulation alerts (layering, spoofing, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of equities and listed options markets, order types, and execution mechanics.
  • Ability to distinguish legitimate trading strategies from abusive conduct.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and documentation skills.
  • Must be based in New York, NY to comply with the 4-day in-office requirement.
