What you will do

• Establish and scale a centralized Security Engineering team, beginning with the Customer Identity team.
• Define the operating model, roadmap, and tracking systems for security engineering work across all product lines.
• Lead the design and implementation of security features including encryption, IAM, network isolation, and sandboxing.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies across Core, Data Platform, Cloud Platform, and Product Security teams.
• Collaborate with GRC and Trust & Assurance to ensure security outputs support compliance and audit requirements.
• Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of security-focused software engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and managing engineering teams, including hiring and performance management.
• Strong hands-on background in security engineering or software engineering with a heavy security focus.
• Experience delivering security product features (IAM, encryption, etc.) in cloud or SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Previous experience at a cloud infrastructure, database, or developer tools company.
• Previous contributions to open source projects.
