What you will do

• Oversee daily billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash applications.
• Manage accounts payable, T&E activity, and cash management transactions.
• Lead month-end close procedures, reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Coordinate a team of 4 shared services accounting professionals, providing technical guidance and priority alignment.
• Coordinate and respond to internal and external audit requests across multiple accounting functions.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and automation within accounting operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business management, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including overseeing a shared services team.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Must be based in the US Central Time Zone or Eastern Time Zone.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday Financials.
• Proficiency with billing portals such as Ariba or Coupa.
• Formal process improvement methodology certification (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Experience within a professional services or private equity backed organization.
