TL;DR
Manufacturing Systems Engineer – Applications Specialist (C#/.NET): Supporting and developing manufacturing applications across requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and ongoing support with an accent on C#/.NET application engineering and manufacturing IT/OT environments. Focus on resolving factory-related issues, maintaining SQL-based solutions, documenting technical problems, and supporting continuous improvement and operational continuity.
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom; onsite and office-based

What you will do
- Gather requirements and support the specification, development, testing, deployment, and configuration of manufacturing applications.
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable applications using C# and .NET technologies.
- Investigate and resolve application and factory-related issues, escalating critical concerns when required.
- Produce technical documentation and clear user-focused problem descriptions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand business needs and build effective working relationships.
- Support continuous improvement and provide basic infrastructure cover to maintain operational continuity.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience in application development with exposure to software support activities.
- Knowledge of C#, .NET Framework/.NET, Web Forms, WinForms, WPF, and Web Services.
- Experience with SQL databases, SQL Server, and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks.
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to take ownership, solve problems independently, and work collaboratively.
Nice to have
- Understanding of manufacturing systems, Industry 4.0 concepts, or industrial IT environments.
