Site Reliability Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Site Reliability Engineer (AWS/Video Streaming): Building automation solutions to deploy and maintain applications for live video distribution with an accent on scalability, reliability, and resiliency of broadcast systems. Focus on developing automated recovery steps, managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure, and ensuring high-availability for major live sporting and entertainment events.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in Centennial, Colorado (minimum 4 days per week in office)

Salary: $110,000 - $145,000 yearly

What you will do

• Deploy and maintain systems across on-prem facilities and AWS Cloud.
• Develop automation to detect issues, trigger alerts, and execute automated recovery steps.
• Lead complex troubleshooting activities and coordinate with vendors to resolve bugs and test releases.
• Collaborate with operations and engineers to gather requirements and design new technical solutions.
• Manage live broadcast components and ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for L2 support during off-hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of support experience with modern IT infrastructure or virtualized broadcast systems.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and core networking fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Python, Bash, JavaScript, JSON, XML, and YML.
• Experience with AWS, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, and Chef for infrastructure automation.
• Must be able to work from the Centennial, Colorado office at least four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting containerized systems in Kubernetes, Docker, or EKS.
• Understanding of Broadcast and Media distribution workflows (HEVC, AVC, HLS, SRT, etc.).
• Experience developing scripts leveraging Microsoft Graph API.
