Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Milford or Warren, Michigan (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

What you will do
- Lead feature development for adaptive headlamp systems and projection technologies from requirements definition to vehicle integration.
- Define and maintain technical requirements, ensuring clear linkage between hardware, software, and vehicle-level performance.
- Collaborate on sensor integration including camera, LiDAR, and ADAS systems to enhance projection feature capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to global lighting regulations while balancing glare avoidance and light output performance.
- Drive virtual and physical testing strategies, including the development of new testing procedures and equipment.
- Identify future opportunities for innovation in customer-facing lighting and projection experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical integration, exterior lighting, or product development.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
- Strong competence in writing and decomposing electrical, hardware, and software requirements.
- Demonstrated cross-functional technical leadership and physics-based problem-solving skills.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in engineering.
- 10 years of experience in Camera Perception or Optics.
- Knowledge of vehicle data communication protocols (CAN, GMLAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Master Black Belt DFSS Certification.
