Facilities Manager Europe (MedTech)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid working with travel to European sites, typically one trip per month. The role supports facilities in Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Switzerland, and Turkey, with a focus on the Estenfeld, Germany office.

What you will do

• Manage facility operations, building management, maintenance, housekeeping, reception, cafeteria services, assets, visitors, and security and safety protocols.
• Coordinate facility layouts, technical building projects, contractors, vendors, IT infrastructure, access control, and compliance with local building codes.
• Manage logistics for facility openings, relocations, and closures, including furniture, signage, telecommunications, security systems, and showroom requirements.
• Prepare facility budgets, manage purchasing and capital expenditure requests, and report on spending, savings, and cost optimization.
• Manage leases, facility agreements, vendors, contractors, landlords, authorities, and occupational safety departments.
• Develop emergency response plans, coordinate safety training and inspections, and support sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management or a comparable technical field, with additional business management training or further professional development.
• At least five years of experience in facilities management or an equivalent role, including technical building project management.
• Fluent German and English are required.
• Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, project management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel to European sites, typically averaging one trip per month.
