What you will do

• Implement Software Quality Engineering (SWQE) activities to ensure programs meet customer and company requirements and documented process compliance.
• Perform process, product, and supplier quality evaluations/audits and provide test verification/validation oversight across the software development lifecycle.
• Use quality sciences to identify, communicate, and drive resolution of needed improvements to software development processes and activities.
• Develop and deploy standard software quality procedures, quality engineering methods, and instruments.
• Provide SWQE management with metrics, reports, schedules, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and other support as needed.
• Be willing to travel and work off-shift and weekends when needed.

Requirements

• STEM Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with software development lifecycle process.
• Familiarity with key software lifecycle areas (requirements, design, coding, unit testing, formal testing, integration & testing, release, configuration management, problem resolution).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; must be a US Citizen. Clearance level: Secret.
• Experience applying Software Quality Engineering principles in Agile, Scrum, or DevSecOps environments.
• Experience with process and product audits.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, Python, Java, and/or C.
• Experience with Airworthiness/Safety requirements and Airworthiness Certification (RTCA DO-178/DO-278 and MIL-STD-516).
• Quality science expertise (statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma, root cause analysis).
• Experience with AS9100 or AS9115 standards.
• Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab, Artifactory, Cameo, and Tableau.
