What you will do

• Migrate under-performing GDScript systems to C++ to enhance performance and maintainability.
• Design and implement simulation logic using the Flecs ECS framework for scalability.
• Profile simulation workloads to identify bottlenecks and apply multithreading techniques.
• Develop serialization and state replication systems for distributed simulation support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance technical solutions.

Requirements

• Professional experience with modern C++ (C++17/20) with a focus on memory management.
• Proficiency with Entity Component System (ECS) architectures, preferably Flecs.
• Solid understanding of linear algebra, physics, and simulation mathematics.
• Must be available to start immediately.
• Position is a 1099 contract role until October 26, 2026.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Godot and GDScript.
• Experience with networking, state synchronization, or multi-server architectures.
• Advanced knowledge of concurrency, lock-free data structures, and parallel processing.
• Experience mentoring less experienced developers.
