What you will do

• Build and maintain features for game developers across the Discord app, developer portal, APIs, and Social SDK.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to write, review, and ship elegant, scalable code.
• Own projects end-to-end, from initial design and milestone planning through post-launch support.
• Engage with game developer partners to understand their technical needs and improve platform tools.
• Work closely with product managers and designers to navigate ambiguity and deliver high-quality software.

Requirements

• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area
• 1-3 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Experience with game development, ideally including Unity or Unreal.
• Proficiency in at least part of the tech stack: Python, Elixir, Rust, TypeScript/React, or C++.
• Strong product sense and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Active use of AI coding tools to accelerate productivity.

• Experience with mobile development.
