TL;DR

Backend Engineer (Go): Building and operating a high-performance content delivery backbone connecting CMS to client applications with an accent on API design and data pipeline scalability. Focus on developing internal developer tooling, improving system reliability for production medical content, and solving architectural ambiguity.

Location: Hybrid (Berlin, Germany). Remote work available from company office spaces in Cologne, Sardinia, and Cape Town.

What you will do

• Build and extend APIs that serve structured content to web and mobile clients.
• Develop data pipelines to process real-time content events into a queryable state.
• Contribute to internal developer tooling for schema-based code generation.
• Improve the reliability and performance of production medical content systems.
• Collaborate with the team to design solutions for loosely defined problems.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional backend engineering experience in Go (or Rust).
• Strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience with GraphQL, event-driven architectures, or stream/batch processing.
• Ability to write clean, testable code with meaningful coverage.
• Capability to navigate ambiguity and deliver working solutions with minimal guidance.

Nice to have

• Exposure to code generation, schema-driven development, or AST tooling.
• Experience with observability (tracing, structured logging, metrics).
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and containerized deployments.
