Senior Accountant (Finance): Supporting the Controllership team by managing corporate accounting processes, financial statement analysis, and internal controls with an accent on scalability and process improvement. Focus on driving business objectives, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance in a fast-growing retail environment.

Location: Must be based in Plantation, FL

What you will do

• Review and analyze financial statements and key metrics for assigned business areas.
• Prepare general ledger entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with company policies.
• Design and implement new accounting processes to support scalable business growth.
• Provide guidance to cross-functional stakeholders and mentorship to junior team members.
• Identify and execute continuous process improvements.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage necessary documentation.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of related professional experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in Plantation, FL.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or active path toward CPA.
• Experience working with GL software, SQL, or Tableau.
• Proven experience in establishing new accounting processes.
