Software Engineer -Backend (Fintech)

hirify.global is a fintech company building an embedded payments platform that enables businesses to pay in, collect, and disburse funds through APIs, payment schemes, accounts, and card products.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and evolve Java backend services, microservices, and distributed event-driven components.
• Build RESTful APIs, service contracts, and relational data models using PostgreSQL.
• Engineer for concurrency, idempotency, fault tolerance, retries, high availability, and performance under load.
• Improve observability through logging, metrics, and tracing, and diagnose issues across services.
• Develop automated tests, participate in design and code reviews, and improve engineering standards.
• Use Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS services in a cloud-native environment while collaborating across autonomous squads.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Java or another object-oriented language, with willingness to work in Java.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Experience building and operating production microservices.
• Ability to reason about concurrency, performance, and system behavior under load.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage complexity, balance priorities, and deliver maintainable, high-quality software.
