TL;DR

Focus on delivering effective claims assurance, analyzing large loss trends, and acting as a senior point of technical challenge for internal stakeholders.

Location: Must be based in London, UK (Hybrid role).

What you will do

  • Own the Annual Claims File Review (ACFR) process and coordinate audit activities across internal and external resources.
  • Lead sanctions governance for claims, ensuring identification and escalation in line with Lloyd’s and internal policies.
  • Provide independent analysis of large loss activity and claims trends for underwriting committees.
  • Conduct on-site engagement with syndicate claims teams to assess performance and control effectiveness.
  • Oversee claims audits for delegated business and ensure remedial actions are tracked to completion.
  • Act as the primary senior referral point for claims exceeding syndicate authority.

Requirements

  • Extensive technical claims experience within the Lloyd’s and London Market environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lloyd’s governance frameworks, including ACFR, audits, and delegated authority.
  • Proven experience in claims assurance, audit oversight, and remediation tracking.
  • Advanced ability to analyze complex claims data and reporting.
  • Progress toward or completion of ACII or equivalent professional qualification.
