Quality Practitioner

TL;DR

Quality Practitioner (Quality Assurance): Support consistently high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment by running quality monitoring activities, evaluating learner and delivery staff experiences, and delivering targeted CPD. Focus on learning walks and observations, internal quality reviews with case sampling and deep dives, and standardisation/moderation to drive assessment improvements and compliance.

Location: Home based, UK (with occasional travel to London office)

What you will do

• Conduct learning walks and observations in line with the quality monitoring plan.
• Assist with internal quality reviews, case sampling, and deep dives to produce evaluative reporting and improvement actions.
• Monitor learner and employer feedback (surveys) and identify improvement areas from trends.
• Perform portfolio internal quality assurance sampling across programmes, working with technical leads and the IQA Manager.
• Develop and participate in standardisation, moderation, and verification activities for assessment practice and pedagogy.
• Deliver CPD programmes and create internal CPD guides and mandatory training resources, including CEIAG materials.

Requirements

• Strong ability to evaluate quality and analyse delivery data reliably in the post-16 training/government-funded sector.
• Proven experience in coaching, training, and/or assessing, with a deep understanding of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Proven experience in internal quality assurance practices, or willingness to upskill (including holding or working towards an IQA qualification).
• Strong working knowledge of apprenticeships and quality frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage positively with internal staff and external stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform quality enhancement, with strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
