Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Infrastructure): Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure services for global air travel systems with an accent on automation, security architecture, and system-level standardization. Location: Must be based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania (Hybrid role with up to 2 days/week work from home).

What you will do

• Standardize system-level architecture and automate implementation processes.
• Define and enforce security architecture, including patch management, server hardening, and Active Directory.
• Engineer disaster recovery, backup/restore, and fault tolerance solutions.
• Integrate products with hirify.global's cloud architecture and manage messaging services.
• Provide 3rd-level support for infrastructure and external peripheral firmware.
• Evaluate and integrate 3rd-party software and administration utilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure platform implementation and support.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016–2025) and MS SQL Server (2016–2022).
• Proficiency in virtualization (ESXi, VMware, Hyper-V) and SAN management.
• Solid understanding of PowerShell and VBScript for automation.
• Experience with clustering, messaging services (MSMQ, RabbitMQ), and backup technologies.
• Excellent English skills and strong documentation capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting external devices and peripheral firmware.
• Background in application deployment and packaging.
