Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Milford or Warren, Michigan (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

What you will do

• Design and deploy prognostic algorithms for low voltage components and parasitic drain detection.
• Model system behavior and monitor degradation trends over the vehicle lifecycle.
• Validate prognostic features in development and test fleets before production rollout.
• Partner with diagnostics, service, and vehicle health teams to integrate outputs into actionable tools.
• Analyze field data to tune thresholds and evaluate alert effectiveness.
• Develop roadmaps for prognostic strategies across various vehicle architectures and model years.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in automotive prognostics, diagnostics, or embedded controls.
• Strong proficiency in Python, machine learning frameworks, and SQL.
• Experience with data visualization and analytics platforms like PowerBI or Databricks.
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous problems into technical solutions.
• Must be able to work on-site in Michigan at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with degradation modeling and energy storage systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and ASIL functional safety standards.
• Experience with PySpark, Matlab, or AI-enabled tooling for vehicle health.
