Senior .NET Engineer

TL;DR

Senior .NET Engineer (Backend): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for a global professional services network with an accent on architectural design, system scalability, and clean code practices. Focus on developing new functionality from scratch, ensuring cross-stack integration, and maintaining high performance across the entire SDLC.

Location: Must be based in Romania (Remote or hybrid from Bucharest office).

What you will do

• Develop new backend functionality and lead projects from scratch.
• Participate in code and architectural reviews while documenting system designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PMs, architects, and QA engineers.
• Ensure high coding standards, testability, and performance throughout the SDLC.
• Handle complex technical problems and provide creative, rapid solutions.
• Support cross-stack integration points and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Must be based in Romania.
• 7+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Expert knowledge of C# and .NET (Framework, Core, ASP.NET).
• Strong understanding of OOP, DDD, SOLID, TDD, and BDD.
• Experience with RDBMS (SQL Server), ORM (Entity Framework/Dapper), and messaging systems (RabbitMQ).
• Proficiency in cloud environments (Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools.
• English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of search engines such as ElasticSearch or Azure Search.
• Familiarity with key-value stores like Redis or Memcached.
• Experience integrating with third-party solutions.
