Cost Consultant (Development Advisory)

Salary: $65,000 - $90,000

What you will do

• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates and complete quantity take-offs.
• Conduct site visits, review contractor progress claims, and assess change orders.
• Collaborate with senior consultants, contractors, and lenders to support budgeting and cost validation.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services across the Atlantic Canada region.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Architectural Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Experience in estimating, quantity surveying, cost consulting, or construction cost management.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, drawings, and specifications.
• Must be based in Canada and available to travel to client sites in the Atlantic region.
• PQS or CEC designation with CIQS is preferred (candidates working toward designation are considered).

Nice to have

• Proficiency with CostX, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
