Residential Account Specialist (Low Income Programs)

Location: Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, or Monroe, Louisiana, United States; field-based with local travel required

What you will do

• Support residential utility energy efficiency programs and manage relationships with clients, trade allies, service providers, and stakeholders.
• Review and approve projects submitted by participating trade allies.
• Perform desktop and field quality assurance and quality control to validate technical project data and ensure compliance.
• Coach and train trade allies and internal support staff on best practices, audit resolutions, and technical topics.
• Support reporting, presentations, database management, market research, and program communications.
• Represent program offerings at trade shows, conferences, and other events while monitoring energy efficiency programs and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with one year of experience substituting for each year of education.
• At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in utilities, energy efficiency, construction, or skilled trades.
• Valid driver’s license, successful Motor Vehicle Records check, and a reliable vehicle for 20–30% local travel are required.
• Ability to work with technical project data, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office programs.

Nice to have

• Residential energy efficiency experience and knowledge.
• Experience working with nonprofits or managing a trade ally/service provider network.
• Certified Energy Manager or BPI credentials.
• Spanish and English bilingual ability.
