What you will do

• Lead technical assistance projects for cities, regions, and states to design and implement housing policies and programs.
• Draft implementation plans, guidebooks, and toolkits integrating economic incentives, Opportunity Zones, and regulatory strategies.
• Manage project budgets, deliverables, and communication with diverse clients to ensure timely completion.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagements between governments and developers to identify challenges and build consensus.
• Oversee the production of written products, coordinating with authors, designers, and subject-matter experts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Public Policy, Government, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of direct experience in consulting, non-profits, or government developing housing strategies and community initiatives.
• Expertise in land use, tax incentives, redevelopment of distressed properties, and preservation of naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH).
• Demonstrated experience in project management and producing written policy products.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree.
• Understanding of HUD housing and community development programs.
• Experience braiding or stacking multiple financing and grant programs to attract affordable housing.
• Experience with commercial development or housing data analysis.
