What you will do

• Design and implement network facilities focusing on availability, redundancy, scalability, and security.
• Develop and maintain hybrid cloud and SDDC platforms in collaboration with DevOps and systems engineers.
• Automate and streamline network operations to increase deployment frequency and reduce recovery time.
• Configure and manage firewalls, load balancers, routers, and switches.
• Perform capacity planning, audits for IP addressing, and bandwidth forecasting.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction on large-scale engineering projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in cloud networking design and implementation.
• Thorough knowledge of Cisco Service Provider product lines.
• High-level expertise in network virtualization, particularly using VMware.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Anchorage, Alaska.
• Strong automation skills using various tools and scripting languages.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications from Cisco, F5, Aruba, Palo Alto, or VMware.
• Experience within the telecommunications industry.
