Staff Engineer I (Geotechnical Engineering)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; travel required 90% of the time

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and implement health and safety plans, including client-specific requirements and job safety analyses.
• Collect and interpret information through research, file reviews, field observations, measurements, and field testing.
• Assist with detailed engineering plans, technical specifications, designs, drawings, and site inspections.
• Perform engineering computations and process field and laboratory data using established software and methods.
• Assist with cost estimates and project documentation under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Travel extensively, with travel required for approximately 90% of the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of consulting experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivation, self-direction, and willingness to learn quickly.
• E.I.T. certification is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
• E.I.T. certification.
