What you will do

• Own the end-to-end verification and validation strategy for autonomous Counter-UAS interceptor systems.
• Translate system, mission, and safety requirements into verifiable and testable criteria.
• Design and execute multi-layer V&V activities across simulation, software, hardware, and system levels.
• Perform model-based, simulation-driven verification and execute SITL and HITL test campaigns.
• Verify autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control behavior, including edge cases and off-nominal scenarios.
• Define acceptance criteria and readiness gates for prototype, pre-series, and operational systems.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in military, defense, aerospace, or other safety-critical environments.
• Strong background in verification & validation, systems engineering, or test engineering for complex systems.
• Deep understanding of requirement-based verification and system-level validation methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SITL, HITL, and simulation-driven testing.
• Experience with failure modes, hazard analysis, and risk assessment.
• Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Gilching, Germany

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous or semi-autonomous weapon systems, UAVs, or interceptor platforms.
• Familiarity with military standards and NATO-style qualification.
• Experience with fault injection, robustness testing, or Monte-Carlo analysis.
• Understanding of control systems and flight dynamics.
