System Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Perform system-level trade-offs and technical investigations for future spacecraft and orbital infrastructure projects.
• Define system architectures, functional breakdowns, requirements, interfaces, and product trees; ensure consistency and flow-down to lower-level requirements.
• Contribute to development plans and coordinate technical tasks across specialist engineering teams.
• Coordinate co-engineering sessions with potential external partners, including agendas, priorities, decisions, minutes, and action tracking.
• Create and maintain technical budgets such as mass and power budgets.
• Support customer technical reviews through data package definition and delivery and management of review item discrepancies.

Requirements

• MSc or advanced degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the aerospace industry, preferably on a launch system program.
• Experience with early development phases, including Phase 0/A/B project work and systems engineering.
• Good programming knowledge in Python, Fortran, Matlab, or similar tools.
• Fluent English required.
• Strong oral and written communication, analysis, problem-solving, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the business and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners.
• Positive and flexible attitude, with behaviors aligned with the values of Vision, Competence, Integrity, and Passion.
• Interest in space and motivation to contribute to the European space industry.

Nice to have

• German, French, or Italian language skills.
