What you will do

• Acquire, install, and maintain network hardware and software components to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify issues and implement performance solutions.
• Implement and update security procedures to align with industry standards, DoD, and NIST security controls.
• Design, implement, and manage IPv6 and Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA).
• Troubleshoot network problems and establish organizational policies and standards.
• Train users on network operations and security best practices to enhance awareness.

Requirements

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Expertise in IPv6 design, implementation, management, and monitoring.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA) including enterprise implementation.
• Compliance with minimum standards for DoD8140 certification for advanced-level work roles.
• Proficiency in network security concepts and technologies.
• Must be able to work onsite in West Point, NY.

Nice to have

• Advanced certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
• Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and DoD RMF.
• Familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls and IDS/IPS technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud security protocols.
• Scripting and automation skills in Python or PowerShell.
