Location: Remote within the contiguous 48 states of the United States. Occasional travel to Fort Worth, TX required.

Salary: $93,750 - $175,000

What you will do

• Design and maintain security controls across network, infrastructure, data, and application layers.
• Perform risk assessments and contribute to data protection strategies for structured and unstructured data.
• Execute penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate risks.
• Develop automation tooling to aid in threat detection, response, and reporting.
• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the US.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for automation, scripting, and tool development.
• Strong understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust Networking principles.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, and Nmap.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security across on-prem, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC.
• Experience with secure access frameworks like SASE and ZTNA.
• Contributions to open-source security tools or research.
