Cybersecurity Analyst: Supporting 24/7 Cyber Network Defense (CND) operations for Department of Defense networks with an accent on real-time threat intelligence, network traffic analysis, and incident response. Location: Must be located within a commutable distance to Scott AFB, IL (On-site)

What you will do

• Investigate alerts from endpoints, IDS/IPS, and NetFlow data to detect network compromises.
• Analyze log files and correlate evidence to support incident investigations and technical reporting.
• Triage security alerts to identify malicious actors targeting customer networks.
• Monitor intelligence feeds to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and integrate them into security sensors.
• Report security incidents to customers and USCYBERCOM.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance required (with ability to obtain Top Secret).
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC).
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 CSSP-A Level Certification within 180 days.
• Strong foundation in networking, OSI model, and defense-in-depth principles.
• Bachelor's degree and 1-3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent military service).
• Must be able to work rotating shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am).

Nice to have

• Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms and behavioral analysis.
• Knowledge of cloud network security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM) and mobile security.
• Scripting and programming skills.
