What you will do
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications of moderate to high complexity using solid software engineering principles.
- Design, develop, and test scalable features and services while resolving complex bugs and performance issues.
- Participate in architectural discussions to balance technical quality, business value, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams, including product managers, QA, and DevOps.
- Ensure development alignment with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and engineering standards.
- Assist with deployments and provide occasional production support during nights or weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming for writing clean, maintainable code.
- Experience with service communication protocols such as RESTful APIs, gRPC, SOAP, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM technologies like JPA and Hibernate.
- Hands-on experience building cloud-based API solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with EHR systems in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Basic understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline maintenance.
