Senior Solutions Engineer (Data Centers)

Location: London, England; hybrid work arrangement.

What you will do

• Participate in the internal RFP process with Vantage teams and develop technical support for the sales team.
• Design proposal templates using current schematics, diagrams, and features, and prepare technical proposals and architectural overviews.
• Coordinate client capacity and timing requirements with hirify.global capabilities.
• Maintain an understanding of development build schedules across Europe by collaborating with the New Site Development Team.
• Engineer solutions that demonstrate cost reductions and operational improvements.
• Assess customers’ current and proposed IT environments across network, power, cooling, and space requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and presentations, especially in a remote team setup.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture.
• Excellent multitasking skills and an inquisitive mindset.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships effectively.
• Drive for continuous improvement and openness to understanding the data center business.

Nice to have

• Experience with wholesale data centers, colocation, interconnection, cloud, managed solutions, or professional services.
• Experience in other critical environments such as nuclear facilities, hospitals, or submarines.
• Experience designing critical infrastructure or data centers.
