What you will do
- Define and evolve architectural standards for customer-facing and operational systems.
- Champion AI-assisted software development and build agentic systems to automate business processes.
- Lead the design of complex software integrations, workflows, and data models.
- Improve CI/CD, deployment safety, and observability across the engineering organization.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews and guide major technical decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Finance teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with production-scale systems.
- Expert-level Ruby on Rails experience and knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Deep expertise with LLMs, AI-assisted coding tools, and building AI-powered agents or developer workflows.
- Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
- Strong product and business judgment with excellent communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, veterinary, or other regulated industries.
- Experience in high-volume eCommerce, subscription businesses, or logistics.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration systems.
- Experience leading platform engineering or developer productivity initiatives.
