Quality Engineering, Lead (QA Automation)

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model. Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity is required.

Salary: CAD 105,000–115,000 annually, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Plan, lead, and oversee testing activities, including test plans, joint test strategies, test cases, coverage, and estimates.
• Define and refine manual and automated testing approaches and QA methodologies across participating teams.
• Monitor defect and automation metrics, identify trends, and recommend quality and test-effectiveness improvements.
• Develop non-functional automation tests for service and component hirify.globaltions, including timeouts and retries.
• Plan and execute load, stress, scalability, and performance testing.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze results, and collaborate with development and QA teams on remediation.

Requirements

• Computer Science degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of direct software development experience with hands-on automation testing, performance testing, test execution, analysis, and optimization.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and optimizing automation frameworks and test reporting.
• Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner, plus Selenium WebDriver and API testing with Postman or a similar tool.
• Strong knowledge of C# and JavaScript, web application architecture, APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and microservices integration testing.
• Must be eligible to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity. Experience with CI/CD, Git or Stash, Jenkins or Bamboo, and Agile methodologies is required; Kanban experience is desirable.
