TL;DR
Quality Assurance & Tester (QA/Testing): Preparing and executing complex testing for product development and deployment of updates and improvements for the University community with an accent on test planning, defect triage, and reporting test quality indicators. Focus on building business data validation, integration, and reporting testing processes, troubleshooting testing activities across Workday ERP workstreams, and recommending test automation and performance testing.
Location: Vancouver Campus - Vancouver, BC, Canada
Salary: $6,747.50 - $9,701.42 CAD Monthly

What you will do
- Assess testing needs from structured requirements to recommend testing approach and priorities.
- Build test plans and create scenarios/test cases, procure test data, execute tests, and document results.
- Troubleshoot testing activities across IRP workstreams (HCM, FIN, STU, SD&D) and validate configuration in tenants.
- Identify, analyze, and document bugs; track and verify defect resolution using defect tracking systems.
- Develop business data validation, integration, and reporting testing processes and procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend test automation and performance testing; build automated test scripts as needed.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience (or equivalent education and experience).
- Demonstrated competency across software development processes with knowledge of testing approaches, techniques, and tools.
- Proven ability to test and validate product solutions against specifications and end-user requirements.
- Experience with test case and defect management tools and data validation/integration/report testing.
- Advanced experience working with Jira, Confluence, and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
Nice to have
- Experience with Jama Software and JIRA; Workday experience.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, ASQ, or PMI-RMP (ITIL is an asset).
- Experience working in a complex academic environment and/or experience.
- Experience managing testing of configured COTS solutions on cloud products and integrated point solutions.
