What you will do

• Guide strategic suppliers in the design and execution of automated robotic cells for battery electric vehicle programs.
• Design, layout, install, and validate automated manufacturing and assembly systems.
• Develop and implement controls schematics and innovative machine designs to meet production objectives.
• Conduct machinery acceptance run-offs and process statistical process control.
• Analyze plant layouts using AutoCAD to identify and resolve equipment interferences.
• Apply Design for Six Sigma and process failure mode analysis to optimize automation test processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Five years of experience as an Automation Project Engineer, Controls Lead, or related role.
• Expertise in programming PLCs, designing intuitive HMIs, and working with electrical systems.
• Proficiency in control systems theory, troubleshooting, and communication protocols like Ethernet/IP.
• Two years of experience with industrial robots, smart manufacturing reporting, and vision camera systems.
• Ability to travel up to 10% to client sites nationwide.
