What you will do
- Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues to reduce downtime and improve line efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and data interfaces.
- Implement automation improvements to enhance equipment reliability, process control, and throughput.
- Manage equipment lifecycle documentation including URS, FAT, and validation reports (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver effective installation and integration solutions.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to technicians and engineers on automation best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Brooklyn Park, MN.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing or test systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and industrial communication networks.
- Experience with validation and equipment documentation (URS, FAT, IQ/OQ/PQ).
Nice to have
- Experience with FANUC and UR robot systems.
- Familiarity with MES, SCADA, or data collection platforms.
- Experience leading equipment installations or upgrades.
