GIS Analyst

What you will do

• Handle technical support enquiries from customers and work through complex issues.
• Deliver GIS consultancy, including creating, maintaining, and administering customer databases on-site and in the cloud.
• Perform database administration tasks such as backups, monitoring, alerts, and data recovery.
• Create technical documentation and deliver training courses online or on-premises.
• Contribute to data analysis and scenario modelling for emergency services clients.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and external stakeholders to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree-level background in geospatial or a related discipline, plus relevant work experience.
• Experience supporting customers across multiple products and working in a service desk environment with complex issues.
• Experience with analytical and statistical data modelling.
• Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
• Ability to manage multiple customer problems simultaneously and escalate/hand off issues to other teams and management.
• Location: Must be based in the UK (England/United Kingdom) and be able to travel to UK sites as needed.
