What you will do

• Develop Algo Trading use cases and integrate them into the current infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance the in-house trade execution platform for forward and short-term energy markets.
• Apply a DevOps approach in close cooperation with DevOps and front office teams.
• Document models and applications in Confluence.
• Network and build communities around Algo Trading within the Energy Markets function.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at university, preferably in Computer Science or Energy Engineering.
• Skills in full-stack programming (Python, React, Git).
• English: Fluent professional communication required.
• Location: Must be able to work in a hybrid model in Essen, Germany.

Nice to have

• Initial experience in Algo Trading for financial markets or energy management.
• Good understanding of European energy markets and trading strategies.
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes.
