Senior Backend Engineer

Location: Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid; at least 12 monthly in-office days)

What you will do

• Architect, design, develop, and deploy backend systems, coding mostly in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design scalable backend systems and APIs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Help lead initiatives from idea to execution and deliver features piece by piece with Product.
• Contribute ideas and constructive feedback to the product development roadmap.
• Share knowledge through tech talks and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating backend services with strong API design skills.
• Comfort with microservice architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong principles for writing clean, simple, secure, and maintainable code.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to make data-driven, metric-driven decisions.
• Experience working effectively in a fast customer-feedback cycle with empathy for end users.
