AI Intern (AI Engineering)

TL;DR

AI Intern (AI Engineering): Developing internal AI-powered automation tools and workflows to optimize company operations with an accent on prompt engineering and API integrations. Focus on identifying efficiency gaps across departments and building lightweight AI solutions to reduce friction.

Location: Must live in Munich or the surrounding area (Initially remote, but office presence will be required in the foreseeable future).

Company

European NewSpace startup focusing on Space Situational Awareness (SSA), Space Traffic Management (STM), and collision avoidance.

What you will do

• Collaborate with various departments to identify workflows where AI automation can save time and reduce friction.
• Design and build lightweight AI-powered solutions and integrations connecting existing tools.
• Maintain and expand the internal knowledge base for AI tooling and best practices.
• Act as a bridge between the AI team and non-technical stakeholders to enable company-wide AI adoption.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical experience building applications with LLMs beyond simple chat interfaces.
• Proficiency in Python, scripting, and API integrations.
• English: B2 level required.
• Location: Must be based in Munich or the surrounding area.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Claude, Anthropic API, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with process automation, RPA, or workflow tooling.
• Prior experience working in a startup or cross-functional environment.
• Interest in the space domain.
