TL;DR
Senior Unix / Linux Infrastructure Engineer (Fintech): Improving enterprise server support and optimizing infrastructure performance within a hybrid and cloud environment with an accent on reliability and scalability. Focus on reducing major incidents, optimizing GCP resources and licensing, and driving the evolution of server infrastructure.
Location: Hybrid from Warszawa (2/3 days per week from the office)
Salary: 750 - 950 PLN/day on B2B

What you will do
- Collaborate with Server Engineering teams on governance, security, and architecture initiatives.
- Manage daily server operations in coordination with an external support provider.
- Reduce the frequency and duration of major incidents across server environments.
- Optimize server resources, licenses, and operational workloads using FinOps principles.
- Improve support processes for IT operations and development teams.
- Define and drive the future strategy for server infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale RHEL/Unix environments.
- Hands-on experience with RedHat Satellite and platform management tools.
- Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud compute operations.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Knowledge of IT governance, patching, hardening, and compliance.
- English: B2 level required
Nice to have
- Experience with Solaris, AIX, or IBMi systems.
- Experience supporting virtual machines in VMware environments.
- Background working in financial institutions or regulated environments.
