What you will do

• Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native enterprise applications.
• Define technical architecture, engineering standards, and best practices for the organization.
• Develop microservices-based solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and API technologies.
• Perform hands-on development in Java, JavaScript, or Node.js, focusing on debugging and performance tuning.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation using Terraform.
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional software engineering and architecture experience.
• Must be based in Edinburgh, GB.
• Deep expertise with AWS cloud platform and distributed systems architecture.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Microservices.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy) and Terraform.
• Experience with Kafka or other event streaming platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/LLM integrations.
